Okay, I couldn't think of anything better to title this one. It IS Memorial Day, so I guess it's as good a title as any. My grandfather was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He had a chance to go to Vietnam and get promoted to a general, but I think that Korea bummed him out. He never would talk about what he did in Korea, and he spoke very little about the Second World War, although we did find a picture in Life magazine of him in the Pacific, trying to get the Japanese to surrender at Guadalcanal. He was my hero, and he died way too young.
